DX Group has expanded its dangerous goods capability across mainland UK, enabling customers to transport a wider range of products through its network under the Limited Quantity (LQ) provisions, writes Peter Brown.
The logistics operator said the enhanced service is designed to provide businesses with a single logistics partner for the movement of eligible dangerous goods, helping to simplify distribution arrangements and reduce the operational complexity associated with specialist shipments.
Products covered by the service include paints and coatings, cleaning chemicals, aerosols, adhesives and sealants, lubricants and oils, resins and solvents, industrial chemicals, lithium batteries and battery-powered equipment.
The service operates within the LQ rules, which allow certain dangerous goods to be transported in specified quantities subject to packaging, marking, labelling and handling requirements.
DX said the expansion reflects growing demand from businesses that need to distribute specialist products safely and efficiently while maintaining compliance with the relevant regulations.
The service is supported by a new online information hub, providing customers with guidance on the requirements and enabling them to check whether individual products are eligible for transport through the DX network.
Customers can also access DX’s in-house specialist team for further advice on the suitability of products and the requirements for transporting them through the network.

The move further broadens DX’s specialist logistics offering, giving manufacturers, distributors and other businesses handling regulated products greater access to its mainland UK delivery network.
