Garage management system Garage Hive has partnered with Dingbro to enable users to search the motor factor’s online catalogue, add parts directly to job sheets and generate purchase orders, writes Peter Brown.
The integration allows garages to link their Dingbro customer ID, location code and placeholder items, ensuring parts are tracked accurately and purchase orders remain aligned.
Garage Hive managing director Ray Dilsons said the move creates a fully connected parts ordering workflow.
“With the Dingbro integration, garages can enjoy a fully connected parts ordering process, from initial quote through to stock management,” he said.
“By integrating with Dingbro, we’re giving Scottish garages a faster, more accurate and traceable way to manage their parts ordering, saving time and reducing errors.”
Once connected, selecting ‘open Dingbro online’ automatically transfers vehicle details to the Dingbro portal. After adding items to the basket, users click ‘send order to Garage Hive’, which pulls descriptions, quantities and costs back into the system.
On delivery, temporary placeholder items can be converted into stock or non-stock items within Garage Hive, completing the workflow.
