Independent fuel distributor Oilfast has opened a new depot in Dumfries and Galloway to strengthen its presence across southwest Scotland, reports Peter Brown.
Operating out of Cargenbridge on the edge of Dumfries, the site will offer domestic, agricultural and commercial customers a range of products, including heating oil, DERV (white diesel), HVO, IHO, gas oil (red diesel), AdBlue, and lubricants.
Managing director Tony Stewart said: “This depot represents an exciting step forward for both Oilfast and the local community.
“By bringing our services closer to Dumfries and Galloway, we can respond more quickly to customer needs, support local employment, and build even stronger relationships with the homes and businesses we serve.”
He added that the new Cargenbridge depot will be operated by local drivers and support staff, ‘enabling Oilfast to provide faster, more efficient and reliable deliveries across Dumfries and Galloway, as well as parts of Cumbria’.
