AFTER more than 30 years of campaigning, by the road haulage industry concerns, the government has at last announced it will move forward with dualling the remaining sections of the A66. Once complete, the upgrade will unlock new opportunities for economic growth across the north of England, due to the road’s strategic importance, linking Penrith and Scotch Corner.
