THERE SEEMS to be a belief that customs paperwork should have started on 1 February 2020. That is not the case.
The UK left the EU and entered the transition/implementation period up to at least 31 December 2020 with the possibility to extend until the end of 2022 providing that extension is requested by July 2020.
Nothing changes during 2020, but expect lots of discussions about FTA’s (Free Trade Agreements), Rules of Origin and level playing fields’, suggests the Customs Clearance Consortium.
