A UNIQUE golden gritter has completed a tour around Scotland, including Hampden Park and the Kelpies, spreading the new Econ Scotland message about the manufacturer’s purpose built service hub in Alloa which was opened last year.
Econ created ‘Goldie’, the one-off golden gritter to make guest appearances at six different Scottish venues, attended by thousands of people, including council leaders and highways chiefs.
Goldie also attended a series of ‘plough days’ where local authorities train new drivers or re-fresh existing drivers on the workings of the snowplough before winter sets in, as well as naming days, where councils invite school children to name their new gritting vehicles.
