Police in Scotland are looking into the death of a man at a Pollock (Scotrans) haulage yard in West Lothian, reports Chris Tindall.
Emergency services were called to the industrial estate in Bathgate on 4 March, but the 59-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Around 10.10am on Tuesday, 4 March, 2025, we received a report of a man injured at industrial premises on Blackburn Road, Bathgate. Emergency services attended; however, the 59-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Enquiries are continuing, and the Health and Safety Executive has been informed.”
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said that it was called out to the premises ‘to assist our emergency service partners at a site in Bathgate’.
“Operations control mobilised four appliances to the town’s Blackburn Road, where firefighters worked to assist their partners before leaving the area,” a spokeswoman added.
Gregory Distribution acquired Pollock (Scotrans) in 2021. A spokeswoman for the group confirmed to Transport News that an incident had occurred and requested all enquires go through the police.
