Fleet In Focus: Oilfast

In a short space of time Oilfast has established itself as a leading supplier of fuels with a modern fleet of trucks, reports Kevin Swallow.

The nationwide supplier of fuel, AdBlue and lubricants has acquired 22 new MAN TGM 6×2 rigid tankers for its distribution fleet as it looks to expand its operation.

Set up in Motherwell in 2013 by co-founders are Alan Tait and Campbell Brogan, it has grown and proliferated across Scotland with regional sites and south of the border into England.

Customers can order heating oil, diesel, hydrotreated vegetable oil, industrial heating oil, ‘red’ diesel, AdBlue and an array of lubricants.

Buyers vary from the private sector and homeowners to business premises and an array of sectors, including agriculture, construction and plant, haulage and storage operators, aviation, marine and offshore, and manufacturing.

Transport News speaks with transport and logistics director Charles Lowe and transport manager Jemma Deans, who manages a fleet of 82 trucks operating from 12 sites in Scotland and the three sites in England operating under the Oilmaxx banner.
