Next year there will be a dedicated business-to-business trade show for road haulage held at the SEC in Glasgow called RTX Scotland, writes Peter Brown.
It will be held over two days – Wednesday 19 and Thursday 20 November 2025, ahead of the 31st Transport News Scottish Rewards at the neighbouring Crown Plaza on Friday 21 November.
It also reunites the Scottish Rewards with its roots, as the awards began hand-in-hand with the Scottish IRTE Show in the same venue, which ran until 1998.
Organised by the team behind Road Transport Expo (RTX) in Stoneleigh, Warwickshire, the event will feature a wide range of exhibitors from across the industry and will have a dedicated focus on the needs of HGV fleet operators.
Divisional director at Road Transport Media Vic Bunby confirmed that this is a ‘unique event for Scotland’.
“Unlike other shows that focus primarily on drivers, RTX Scotland is a pure business-to-business platform where companies can buy, sell, explore transportation solutions and network,” he explained
A 5,000m² hall 3 at the SEC will host the event.
