GSM Transport has taken delivery of four Gray & Adams temperature-controlled trailers with Carrier Transicold units, writes Peter Brown.

Operating from Annan in Dumfries and Galloway, the haulier has specified the trailers with Vector HE 17 units.

Jim Morrison, owner of GSM Transport, said the new trailers will deliver milk and dairy products to customers across the UK as part of the hauliers work with McQueens Dairies.

“Carrier Transicold has been a driving force in our trailer fleet for almost three decades now, with its products and aftersales service consistently delivering on all fronts for our business,” he said.

“We have always been able to count on outstanding levels of performance and reliability from our existing Vector-equipped trailers, but with the promise of even better fuel economy from the new Vector HE 17, we were intrigued to see the results, especially given the trailers’ planned workload.”

Carrier Transicold said the Vector HE 17 can generate up to a 30% fuel saving compared to the legacy Vector 1550, and it weighs in at 720kg.

Founded in 1996 and headquartered in Annan, GSM Transport delivers chilled produce to businesses across the UK. It has been supplying McQueens Dairies with transport to its depots since 2016.
