TIP Group has bought Trailer Auto Group (TAG) for an undisclosed sum in what the rental company said would strengthen its refurbishment services in the UK, writes Peter Brown.
Set up in 2022, the Stoke-on-Trent based business TAG runs a workshop with 41 bays and employees 105 people, including 85 skilled mechanics.
Managing director UK & Ireland at TIP Group Mike Furnival said: “Acquiring TAG will significantly enhance our ability to extend the life of our fleet and expand our offerings to both existing and new customers.
“The workshop’s central location will facilitate trailer refurbishment, damage repairs, servicing and MOT preparation.”
With the addition of TAG, TIP now operates 30 locations in the UK.
