Secure parking for trucks is a continuous debate with increasing demand from the road haulage industry seemingly not enough force Government and stakeholders to generate the sort of infrastructure needed to meet the shortfall.
In 2022, a new initiative was launched called Park Mark Freight, which created a high standard for existing truckstops and depots to meet but also introduce a blueprint for future purveyors of secure parking.
Kevin Swallow caught up with Sara Fisher from the British Parking Association, who manage the scheme, and discovers what Park Mark Freight can deliver.
