Liquid waste disposal specialists Universal Tankers has bought Penrith-based H & E Trotter in a move designed to broaden its services in the north of England, writes Chris Tindall.
Universal Tankers, who operate 18 sites across the UK with four in Scotland, said the acquisition of Trotter, which services septic tanks, would improve the range of waste management services in the region and enable it to offer tank and sewage treatment plant services, welfare accommodation units for construction sites and events, portable toilets, liquid food waste management and the provision of bulk water.
The purchased company holds a licence allowing 15 HGVs and 15 trailers operating out of two bases in Penrith and Carlisle.
Toby Gunn, Universal Tankers MD, said: “With the integration of H&E Trotters’ wet waste operations our experienced team will ensure a seamless transition for existing customers, maintaining the high standards they expect.
“We are thrilled to welcome H&E Trotter’s wet waste business into the Universal Tanker group. Both the Trotter family and Universal Tankers share a commitment to exceptional service, which we consider essential for providing a top-class customer experience.
“Our goal is to ensure the preservation of the high standards our customers expect. We are looking forward to providing the same Universal Tanker experience to our new clients in the north of England and Cumbria.”
