VOLVO Trucks UK & Ireland has officially opened its new Apprentice Training Centre, investing more than £300,000 in the facility, located within Remit Training’s Automotive Academy, in Derby.
Karen Bailey, head of competence development at Volvo, said: “I’m proud that we have always recognised the value that apprenticeships can bring to our business and the wider industry. The shortage of skilled technicians across the sector in recent years has been widely reported and is something we are doing our best to address.
