Transaid celebrated its silver jubilee at the Transport Museum in London, with more than 170 industry supporters, partners and development organisations in attendance.
After speeches by Joan Aitken, chair of Transaid’s board, and Andrew Malcolm, CEO of the Malcom Group, HRH The Princess Royal addressed guests with a speech both celebrating Transaid’s essential work and reminding supporters of the need for safe and accessible transport in sub-Saharan Africa.
Caroline Barber, CEO of Transaid, said: “We have grown the scale and impact of our work, improving access to healthcare services for communities in Africa, delivering pioneering road safety initiatives and working tirelessly to reduce death and injury on the roads.”
