IT’S WITH sadness that we report that Bruce Nicol died quietly at his home in Aberdeen and although he hadn’t been in the best of health, he was still talking about getting back to work a week before his passing, writes Bob Tuck.
Very much a quiet, totally un-assuming and private person, Bruce had given his entire working life to the success of his company William Nicol (Aberdeen) Ltd.
The business was established in 1935 by, and named after, Bruce’s father William. At first doing general cartage from Roadside Garage at Kintore, the family business moved to Pittodrie Street in the heart of Aberdeen in 1957.
