First drive on Iveco’s eDaily, with John Kendall.
IVECO unveiled the eDaily at the IAA Hanover Show last September and Transport News gave outline details at the end of last year. eDaily simply replicates the Daily range, meaning that all models that are available with a diesel engine can also be acquired with an electric drive system.
The only addition is the new 42S version with single rear wheels, designed to take advantage of the government initiative which permits an increase in gross vehicle weight for 3,500kg GVW models up to 4,250kg to compensate for the additional weight of the batteries and other equipment permissible for alternatively fuelled vehicles.
This is designed for drivers holding a car (‘B’) licence, who are normally restricted to vehicles with a maximum GVW of 3,500kg.
