While the UK government has generously allowed hauliers to use longer semi-trailers measuring 15.65m long, in Australia they have simply doubled up the B-double combination.
As reported in Global Trailer, transport and logistics company, Qube, has trialled a double stacked container trailer for the first time on public roads in Australia. The trial was conducted at the Port of Brisbane.
The trailer is built by the Drake Group.
What chance this might make it to UK roads? The Department for Transport is yet to respond.
