With a truck, hauliers have the chance to create something distinctive which can become a mobile advertisement for the business. Gordon Hunter’s unmistakable livery is getting his company noticed and is helping to bring in work. Kevin Swallow caught up with him and his truck.
IT’S A Tuesday lunchtime in early March and I’ve just followed Gordon Hunter into a garage just outside Inverkeithing, northside of the Queensferry Crossing off the A921, for this interview.
He’s travelled from his base at Glenrothes while I’ve just crossed the Firth of Forth, and I spot his truck approaching eastbound to the double roundabout north of the village.
Had Gordon been driving a nondescript livery free curtainsided 26 tonner covered in road salt I might not have paid too much attention, but his Renault T-high 520 is far from bland.
