A Renfrewshire haulier appealed against the TC’s decision to refuse an increase in the number of HGVs it could operate, but the appeal tribunal was not convinced by its argument, writes Chris Tindall.
AN APPEAL against a decision by Scotland’s traffic commissioner to refuse a Paisley operator’s application to increase its licence authorisation has been dismissed after its director admitted she struggled to keep the necessary funds in the bank.
Haulage boss Mairi Anderson appealed against a decision made by the TC to turn down an application requesting an increase in the number of HGVs operated by Mika Logistics from six to 10.
The office of the TC (OTC) informed Anderson that for her application to succeed, she would need to demonstrate available finance of £48,500.
