LOTHIAN DAF recently arranged a special presentation to long standing customer, Pollock (Scotrans) Ltd to mark the haulage company’s 85th anniversary in business. Truck sales manager, Gary Russell presented Pollock’s managing director, Scott Pollock with a specially commissioned artwork by Keith McGillivray, featuring the haulier’s first DAF 3300 tractor unit from 1981 and its latest DAF XF530.
The Bathgate based logistics operation recently took delivery of seven new DAF XF 6×2 tractor units supplied by Lothian DAF at Straiton. Three, finished in a white livery, will operate on a dedicated contract in north west England. All the new XF arrivals are covered by five year, DAF repair and maintenance programmes.
Pollock opted for DAF’s most powerful Paccar MX-13 engines coupled to Traxon gearboxes for the seven XF-FTP 6×2 pusher axle chassis. All feature the Super Space Cab, which has been a favourite with Pollock’s trampers for over two decades.
