Leasing company Ogilvie Fleet has acquired vehicle renting firm ONWRD in a move designed to boost its fleet and customer base, writes Carol Millett.
ONWRD leases cars, vans, HGVs and specialist vehicles, through an established network of partners.
Its existing customer base includes organisations operating in infrastructure, building supplies, construction, renewables, housing associations, furniture, marine, and education, complementing Ogilvie’s own areas of expertise.
Ogilvie Fleet is based in Stirling. The company said the deal boosts its ability to offer a wider range of vehicles, while creating opportunities to support ONWRD clients with additional fleet services, including contract hire and a broader fleet management capability.
Ian Bennett (pictured right), Ogilvie Fleet rental director, said: “By bringing ONWRD into the Ogilvie Fleet group of businesses, we can broaden the range of solutions we offer and better support clients with their diverse and evolving fleet requirements.”
Mark Thompson (left), ONWRD MD, added: “The scale, stability and reputation Ogilvie has built over that time strengthens our ability to support clients across a wider range of fleet and mobility requirements, while maintaining the flexibility, service standards and customer focus they expect from us.”
