MV Commercial has unveiled MV Asset Finance, a new division of the business that will offer asset finance to support UK businesses investing in fleet expansion and other capital assets, writes Peter Brown
Established in partnership with One.funding, it builds on ‘a long-standing relationship between the leadership teams of the two businesses’, the company said.
MV Asset Finance will sit alongside MV Commercial’s vehicle hire and sales activities, offering customers additional funding options to support growth while protecting cash flow.
MV Asset Finance is positioned as a complement to traditional business funding methods such as overdrafts and loans, providing tailored finance solutions aimed at improving working capital management and enabling investment in productivity and operational efficiency.
The service will support a wide range of asset types, including commercial vehicles, trailers, plant equipment and specialist machinery.
Steven Cairns, managing director of MV Commercial, said the launch reflected the company’s confidence in the resilience and ambition of UK businesses, adding that integrating asset finance within the MV Commercial group would allow customers to access both vehicles and the financial tools needed to support sustainable growth.
Lee Schofield, chief executive officer of One.funding, trading as MV Asset Finance, said the partnership combined sector expertise with specialist funding capability to address the financial pressures faced by businesses expanding fleets or acquiring critical equipment.
The finance division will offer multiple funding structures, including hire purchase, finance lease, refinance, VAT deferral and operating lease options, allowing customers to select arrangements best suited to their operational and financial requirements.
MV Commercial said MV Asset Finance would provide bespoke support throughout the finance lifecycle, working closely with customers to align funding plans with individual business strategies and cash flow profiles.
