The Looking Back series continues apace with Ian Lawson focusing on Deep Freeze Supplies Limited.
Founded in 1969, the company ran a large fleet from Aberdeen for a good number of years.
In addition to their own fleet, which at one time contained a large number of ERFs, there was several owner drivers running in the Deep Freeze Supplies livery.
In 1998, they featured in The Herald when they opened a new distribution depot at the M8 Food Park in Glasgow.
The following year Iceland expanded its food distribution business into Scotland by snapping up Deep Freeze Supplies, according to This Is Money.
The company continued as ‘non-specialised wholesale of food, beverages and tobacco’, and it was eventually dissolved in 2015.
