Scotland’s largest commercial laundry and textile rental company Fishers has taken delivery of 21 new trucks from Fraikin, writes Peter Brown.
The 15-tonne DAF XB trucks are on full-service contract hire from Fraikin, completing a two-year project that has seen Fraikin replace and update vehicles that were originally part of a sale and leaseback deal.
Lucy Renaut, group finance director at Fishers, said: “Our decision to work with Fraikin was driven by a need to find a partner that understood, and could react to, the operational demands of our business, beyond simply supplying new vehicles.
“From maintenance and compliance to roadside assistance or vehicle tracking and monitoring, their proactive approach, 24/7 support and use of cutting-edge technology has revitalised our fleet, giving us total peace of mind across our whole operation.”
Operating seven days a week, Fishers transports laundry to and from the company’s five sites in Coatbridge, Livingston, Newcastle, Perth and Cupar to hospitality, industry, healthcare and cleanroom businesses, processing up to two million items weekly.
