Dashcam footage from a driver captured the moment a lorry headed down a slip road the wrong way into oncoming traffic, writes Peter Brown.
The incident took place in Aberdeenshire on the B9000 slip road at the Newburgh turn-off heading onto the A90. Footage shows the truck head towards the vehicle, before performing a U-turn on the dual carriageway and following the car back up the slip road.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10.30am on Monday, 1 September, we were made aware of an HGV leaving the B9000 Newburgh slip road towards the A90 dual carriageway in the wrong direction.
“Enquiries were carried out and the driver, a 61-year-old man, was traced and charged in connection with dangerous driving. A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
