Rigside haulier JHP Transport has always been associated with the ambient, chilled and frozen logistic sector but now it has diversified into supplying bagged aggregates to builder’s merchants.
Editor Kevin Swallow headed to South Lanarkshire and spoke with boss Jim Prentice and newly appointed director Frank Huckle about the new venture of supplying bagged aggregate and stone to builder’s merchants across the UK.
Jim explained the move: “You need to think out of the box a wee bit and we saw this opportunity already happening within our business to get more volume and more trunking work. The decision to invest in the equipment and the people has already paid off.”
