Recycling and waste management company The NWH Group has bought the trading assets of Henry Waste Management for an undisclosed sum, writes Peter Brown.
Operating from Coatbridge, Henry Waste Management is a skip hire and waste collection company. Its new owners said the deal ‘strengthens NWH’s position in central Scotland and aligns with the company’s long-term strategy of growth through both organic expansion and strategic acquisition’.
The transaction includes approximately 585 skip containers, five skip vehicles, and the transfer of key personnel including long-standing owner John Crawford who joins NWH in a consultancy capacity.
The NWH Group executive director Craig Williams said: “We’ve known John and his team for many years and have built a strong working relationship based on trust and shared values.
“This acquisition not only expands our operational footprint in the region but also enhances our capacity to serve customers efficiently and reliably.”
The Henry Waste Management site in Coatbridge has been sold to a third party, but NWH retains access to a dedicated tipping bay at the location.
John Crawford said: “After many successful years running Henry Waste, I’m proud to see the business become part of a forward-thinking company like NWH.
“Its commitment to customer service and innovation reflects the values that helped build our reputation, and I’m looking forward to working with Craig and the wider team to ensure a smooth transition for our customers.”
