Next year will see a new classic truck show take place at the Royal Highland Showground in Ingliston from Live Promotions, writes Peter Brown.
The Classic Truck Show will take place indoors on 28 February and 1 March 2026, and the Malcolm Group has said it will take part in the event.
Bob Limming, Live Promotions director, said for more than 40 years running Truckfest Scotland the event has grown to cover the entire showground and classic and vintage trucks play an increasing large part of it.
“It has got to the point where we, as the show organisers, have realised that Scotland deserves its own standalone show,” he said.
“Many hauliers are also involved or have their roots in agriculture, and have a strong farming heritage, so we think it will be a good idea to include classic and vintage tractors as well.”
There is more than 18,000 square metres of covered exhibition space, and external hard standing. “The show will be an excellent attraction in the late winter months no matter what the weather,” he added.
“We can think of nothing better than one hall filled with classic trucks and the other with vintage tractors. Picture the scene; classic Albion trucks to vintage Farmall tractors.”
The Classic Truck Show will include competitions across all the different sectors, there will be trade stands as well as autojumble, and potentially an auction.
