The new managing director for MAN Truck and Bus UK Ltd will be Jan Kohlmeier, replacing Stefan Thyssen on 1 August 2025, writes Peter Brown.
Jan Kohlmeier is currently the MD for MAN Truck and Bus for both Czech Republic and Slovakia, a post he’s held since 2000.
“I’m delighted to be given the opportunity to head up MAN Truck & Bus UK and I’m very much looking forward to meeting with customers, the team and the dealer network,” he said.
“I couldn’t be more excited to join the team and as we transition to eMobility, help shape the future of this iconic brand and company.”
Senior vice president for Europe Roman Sitte said; “We are delighted to have appointed Jan to head the MAN Truck & Bus Team in the UK, a market area of utmost importance to the MAN brand.
“Jan’s broad experience within MAN comprehensively demonstrates his deep understanding of the commercial vehicle market and we all wish him well in the future.”
Stefan Thyssen was appointed MD of MAN Truck & Bus UK in 2021, taking over from Thomas Hemmerich.
Roman added: “On behalf of the Board I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank Stefan for all his hard work and commitment to the UK market.”
Stefan is set to return to Munich where he will take up a new role.
