Italian truck manufacturer Iveco has introduced a much anticipated 6×2 tractor unit for its natural gas line up, writes Peter Brown.
The S-Way CNG (compressed natural gas) 6×2 tractor unit has a XCursor 13 12.9-litre engine delivering 500hp and a 310-mile range.
CNG has the potential to reduce CO2 emissions by up to 95% compared to diesel.
Mike Cutts, Iveco business line director full range UK and ROI, said the new addition is a collaboration with Astra Vehicle Technologies.
