As a supplier to local authorities, it’s important Econ Engineering has an eye on battery electric vehicles and versatile demountable bodies for use.
Dan Gilkes caught up with sales director Steve Sinnott to discuss how Econ is providing local authorities with a zero-emission solution, as councils look to drive down their carbon footprint.
The answer, in part, is the E-QCB full electric demountable body vehicle.
Seven local authorities and contractors are considering the E-QCB at present, as Econ demonstrates the electric model’s potential across the UK. Initially based on a 19-tonne Volvo FE chassis, the E-QCB is available with a range of demountable options, including gritter, tipper and caged body.
