The road haulage industry came together to celebrate the 30th Transport News Scottish Rewards at the Crown Plaza in Glasgow, writes Peter Brown.
Louise Marshall, often referred to as ‘Scotland’s National Piper’, kicked off the event, which was hosted by comedian Des Clarke and presenter and humanist celebrant Carol Smillie, with the Brass Funkeys providing the entertainment.
Transaid’s Neil Rettie delivered a speech on its work in Africa improving road safety and business line director Mike Cutts from the shows sponsor Iveco presented the latest from the manufacturer.
Transport News editor Kevin Swallow thanked the category sponsors for their support and the judges for their time and effort in selecting the deserved winners.
Next years event will take place on Friday 21st November 2025 at the Crowne Plaza Glasgow.
