Transport News November 2024 Out Now!

The latest edition of Transport News is out today (4 October) with the front cover featuring a Renault C 8×2 rigid, which belongs to lift and shift haulier MacKenzie Transport Services, who have branched out into storage and contracted work.

It’s been more than 10 years since boss Gordon MacKenzie last spoke to Transport News, with then features editor John Henderson.

From starting with a van, the business has become unrecognisable since but the family-run business has retained the same approach, and that’s hard work and dedication.

There is also a Scottish Forestry feature where two hauliers – James Jones & Sons Ltd and Scotlog Haulage – go green with electric wagons supplied by Volvo Trucks.

Kevin Swallow popped into Lesmahagow to see the site belonging to hot-box hire company B&B Contracts, who have much more to offer with its established repair and maintenance servicing.

There is a full round up from Truckfest North West, where there is a familiar name claiming the trophies.

Elsewhere Transport News discovers Park Mark Freight, assesses the latest raft of import red tape, the A&D Logistics competition winner names a truck, and looks at Isuzu Truck’s ascent to the top of the 7.5 tonne sector with its Driveaway programme.
