The Renault Trucks dealership that covers southern Scotland and Cumbria Border Trucks has been acquired by fellow dealership Diamond Trucks.
The Setanta Group-owned Diamond Trucks operate two sites based in Warrington and Mallusk, in Northern Ireland.
Under the group structure, Border Trucks will continue to operate as an independent business, with Stephen Whitehead remaining with the business as director and dealer principal.
He said: “Joining the Setanta Group under their Diamond Trucks umbrella will bring greater opportunities to Border Trucks in terms of access to new suppliers and customers as well as greater buying power.”
Director of Diamond Trucks Harry Nash said: “Border Trucks bring a wealth of experience especially in the construction sector having strong partnerships with many of the key suppliers in this area, and we look forward to working with Stephen and the team to further develop the Renault Trucks brand in the Border region.”
