The Malcolm Group were the big winners at Truckfest Scotland where it picked up five awards, including Best In Show, writes Peter Brown.
Following an action-packed two days at the Royal Highland Centre at Ingliston (3-4 August), which saw Ice Road Truckers Todd Dewey, the Monster Trucks and Broke FMX woo the crowd, it was Malcolm Group that stole the honours.
It claimed Best Kept Super Truck for its bonneted Volvo and a further four awards for the Scania R560 Topline 6×2 tag tractor unit; Best In Show, Best Kept Company Owned Truck, Best Kept Scottish Working, and Best Custom Truck.
That all conquering R560 was beaten into second place for Best Paintwork by Blackwood Plant’s bonneted Scania with an impressive Billy Connolly tribute.
Transport News will run a full review of Truckfest Scotland in its October 2024 issue out in early September.
