The body of a pedestrian hit by a lorry in Oban, has been found roadside about two miles from where the incident took place.
Police told Transport News the man was struck in George Street, Oban by an HGV shortly before he was discovered on the A85 near Pennyfuir in the early hours of Thursday (27/6/24) morning.
The police confirmed that the driver of the lorry had been tracked down and inquiries were ongoing.
Insp Roy McCarney, from the Dumbarton Road Policing Unit, said: “Anyone with further information on the incident should call police on 101, quoting incident 0255 of 27 June 2024.”
