Truck platooning, heralded as a ‘great potential to make road transport safer, cleaner and more efficient in the future’ by connecting two or more lorries together with technology, has been ditched.
It kicked off in 2016 with a roadmap to be ‘operational’ by 2022, and Transport News current editor has had the joy of sitting in a following vehicles seemingly inches behind the lad truck.
