It’s been a tough start to 2024 for the Dumbarton-based operation after the passing of managing director Allan Galt. He was the second generation of the family to take on the business from his father Daniel Galt, who started the transport company in 1947.
Now its siblings Andrew and Linda Galt who are running the company. They discuss new vehicles, giant pandas and western defence alliance NATO, as the well-established family firm looks towards the future with optimism.
