The Transport News Scottish Rewards celebration breakfast had something special as it recognised several true legends of the Scottish road haulage industry. Kevin Swallow reports from the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Glasgow.
IT WAS an emotional morning at the 29th Transport News Scottish Rewards celebration breakfast, which took place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Glasgow on the morning of Friday 1 December 2023.
And it proved to be a rare occasion when Transport News awarded three lifetime achievement awards to three legends of the Scottish road haulage industry, but more of that later.
The celebration kicked off with Louise Marshall, also known as Louise the Piper and ‘Scotland’s National Piper’ before more than 580 attendees tucked into a full Scottish breakfast.
