THE FIRST DAF XDC eight-wheel tipper on the road in Scotland has joined the D&R Taylor fleet at its site in Perth, writes Kevin Swallow.
Supplied by local DAF dealer Norscot Truck & Van, the FAD 8×4 truck joined the fleet in September 2023, in a deal struck with sales manager Michael Anderson.
It has the new XDC day cab, the MX-11 450hp engine, and automated 12-speed TraXon gearbox. On the chassis is an alloy Wilcox Wilcolite insulated body built with a Union Jack Easy Sheet from Dawbarn. It has Edbro lifting gear and Onboard PM weighing equipment. Tare weight is 11,920kg.
