THE 2023 Truck Show at Barnard Castle, Co. Durham, was a vibrant weekend with more than 450 trucks attending the event (26-28 August 2023). Friday saw early birds arriving to park up and start their show prep, with a steady flow of arrivals throughout the day.
As the sun set there was a host of traders set up for show visitors to browse with stalls ranging from clothing, cleaning products, scotch eggs, artwork and plenty more. There were also fairground rides and attractions along with a wide range of food options. There was entertainment in the bar area starting Friday night and continuing on Saturday and Sunday nights too.
By Saturday morning the showground was busy with a constant flow of trucks arriving early for the opening to the public at 10am. Throughout the weekend there was a truck pulling event which helped raise money for the show’s chosen charity Alzheimer’s Society, and Saturday night saw the showground come alive with an array of beacons, lights and air-horns.
