REED Boardall has turned to Carrier Transicold to reduce its carbon emissions and fuel consumption. The Yorkshire based temperature-controlled distributor has taken delivery of 60 Vector S15 units provided by Dawsongroup Truck & Trailer, the first UK customer for this all-new mono-temperature product, as well as 20 flagship Vector HE 19 multi-temperature systems supplied by Asset Alliance Group.
The 80 new units could save more than 800 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions a year.
The new mono-temperature Vector S15 and multi-temperature Vector HE 19 systems, mounted to 13.6 metre single and double deck trailers respectively, were selected after a trial that involved evaluating their levels of fuel economy and cooling efficiency.
