ABERCLEAN Plant & Sweeper Hire Ltd, based in Westhill, Aberdeenshire, was granted a standard national licence on 1 October 2014 with authority for the use of eight vehicles and six trailers.
Andrew Youngson is the sole director and transport manager and was called to Public Inquiry, in Edinburgh, on 23 March 2023 because of an ‘S’ endorsed prohibition issued by DVSA on 17 March 2022, due to the service brake not operating effectively and there was a missing external mandatory mirror. An ‘S’ endorsed prohibition was issued to trailer C383595 at annual test on 22 April 2022.
Mr Youngson attended the Public Inquiry along with Derek Jones, general manager and were represented by Callum Anderson, solicitor. The DVSA were represented by Jill Jarvis, Traffic Examiner, and Henry Mackie, Vehicle Examiner, both of whom appeared by video conference.
