THE ACQUISITION of five new DAF 18 tonne tippers by Dundee based Tayside Contracts adds further units into its 24 strong general purpose tipper fleet, writes Gordon Roberts.
These are specified to handle the broadest range of duties including transporting hot asphalt for everyday road repair work through to gritting and snowplough duties in the depths of winter.
Built on DAF LF chassis with high power 320hp engines, these new trucks all feature bespoke bodies built by Cuthbertsons of Biggar.
