SHIFT, which offers on-demand delivery services using independent drivers, has bought Tuffnells Parcels Express out of administration.
Tuffnells called in the administrators on 12 June and announced more than 2,000 employees across 33 depots would be made redundant.
Announcing the deal, the tech-based firm led by founder and entrepreneur Jacob Corlett, said it is looking at re-opening some of Tuffnells depots and employing some of its former staff.
