Following on from last month’s introduction to Glasgow based Michael Fallone on his personal crusade recording road transport action of the 1980s, is a second slice of his Scottish load shifting history, writes Bob Tuck. Images by Michael Fallone.

IT’S EASY to forget. In an era where the internet allows for the seamless passage of digital information and even photographs taken on your phone to many parts of the world in milli-seconds, we should remember it wasn’t always like that.
Yes, it may sound a bit gushy, but we have a lot to thank Michael Fallone for. As we explained in last month’s Transport News, back in the early 1980s our man from the Glasgow suburb of Duntocher had the foresight to invest in a decent camera and record the road transport action that was going on around him. And as we are all aware, there have been changes aplenty in the freight fetching fraternity over that time.
Of course, Michael’s the first to acknowledge how the likes of photographers Arthur Ingram, Peter Davies, Roger Kenney, Phil Moth and others had long trail blazed the cause of the wagon enthusiast.
