SCANIA’s customer support in Central Scotland will receive a substantial boost later this month with the opening of a new, state-of-the-art dealership in Falkirk replacing the previous base at Grangemouth.
General manager John Macdonald reports ‘everything on schedule’ for the official opening in the second half of August.
“Falkirk will be an environmentally friendly dealership, based on the ultra-modern Scania Scotland flagship dealer opened last year at Eurocentral. Now with six fully-operational bays we will also be able to service local battery electric vehicles, all gas-fuelled trucks and of course petrochemical rigs, being so close to Grangemouth. We have two ADR bays.”
Scania Falkirk is sited on 4.5 acres with 50 parking spaces. The site will offer a full parts service. It will have a 33 staff complement with five further vacancies expected to be filled soon, revealed John Macdonald.
