RICHARD SMITH, RHA managing director, urged transport professionals to get behind a campaign to find The UK’s Kindest Town for commercial vehicle drivers.
Speaking at the recent Microlise Transport Conference he said truckers deserve to be treated with kindness and respect.
“Are they [drivers] allowed to use the toilet? Is there adequate food? Is there an adequate rest area?
“And just as important, do they get a kind reception and are they treated as professionals?” he asked.
Everyone voting will be entered into a prize draw, to win a £2,500 holiday voucher, or a £100 Weekly Amazon voucher.
