Wincanton has commenced operations at its new shared user supply chain hub at Scotland Gateway.
The site, which the company said would centralise operations across the country, is also expected to provide efficiencies for its customers in Scotland by replacing subcontracted services.
Wincanton added that by July customers in its public and industrial, general merchandise and e-fulfilment divisions will all have their operations migrated to and running through Scotland Gateway, which sits 12 miles east of Glasgow.
Derek Stirling, country manager for Scotland at Wincanton, said: “Our new Scotland Gateway site is a testament to Wincanton’s long-term commitment to Scotland, supporting the strategically important central belt and the economy through trade and jobs.”
